Luis Prieto Moreno, an entrepreneur born in Madrid in 1977, stands out in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship in Spain. After working in several multinationals, he decided to change his professional path in 2021 and moved to San Francisco, where he became involved in startup innovation projects at the Plug and Play Tech Center. There, he founded his own company to provide startups with access to Stanford University’s entrepreneurship programmes.
During his time in California, he immerses himself in the Californian way of life, cycling, surfing and reading about environmental conservation issues. This period marks a significant change in his personal and professional life, awakening a deep interest in environmental care and the search for responsible business models.
In 2016, Luis Prieto Moreno returned to Spain and founded Wezama Dreams S.L., a collaborative network that seeks to raise environmental awareness through messages from professionals from various sectors. In 2019, in collaboration with the City Council of Cadiz, he organises the summit Piel de Atún 2019 on the Sustainable Development Goals, obtaining recognition from the Government of Spain as an event of Exceptional Public Interest.
In 2021, it establishes the Piel de Atún Foundation, focused on promoting technological innovation projects for climate transition and decarbonisation, giving rise to MadBlue. Its goal is to turn Madrid into a centre of innovation and collective awareness. MadBlue organises the annual MadBlue summit, events such as the Conciertos de la Hispanidad and the Run for The Earth race, as well as generating projects such as MadBlue Marine, which seeks to decarbonise the marine industry through green hydrogen.
Prieto actively participates in international forums that promote the use of business for social welfare and environmental protection.
